Join us tomorrow after school to write an encouraging note to your students who are taking the STAAR test. Please come see us tomorrow on Tues. the 8th, from 4:30- 6:00 PM. We will have markers and a sign that will line the hallway for you to write on. If you are not available at this time, please let us know, and we will work out another time to meet. We think this will be a fun way to encourage our students!

JH Track Meet Update – CANCELLED for 4/4/2025
Due to weather concerns, the JH District Track Meet scheduled for tomorrow (Friday, 4/4) has been cancelled. Coaches and administrators across our UIL district are currently working together to find a new date.
Please know that we are committed to giving our student-athletes the opportunity to compete, and every effort will be made to reschedule the event.
As soon as a new date is confirmed, TCISD will communicate directly with athletes, coaches, and parents.

Please be aware that the JH District Track Meet schedule has been adjusted. All events will now begin at 10:00 AM in Newcastle — earlier than originally scheduled.
Additionally, we want everyone to know that there is an increased chance of severe weather on the day of the meet. Coaches and administrators across our UIL district are closely monitoring the forecast. A final decision regarding the meet will be made as soon as possible, with the safety of our student-athletes, coaches, and spectators as the top priority.
✅ As soon as a decision is made, TCISD will immediately communicate with all parents and stakeholders.

IMPORTANT CALENDAR UPDATE
Please note that the TCISD calendar has been updated for Friday, April 4, 2025. This day will now be a Non-Instructional Day — there will be NO classes for students and NO professional development for staff.

TCISD's new driveway coming off College Street has officially been approved for use! This means that starting immediately, all morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up will happen in front of the new school.
All traffic will enter the new driveway off of College Street and head north toward the new school. The pick-up and drop-off zone is directly in front of the new school main entry doors. Please stay in a single file line and be patient with this new process. All vehicles are required to depart from the school by way of the road that goes down the hill past the ag building and out to Reynolds Street. The service driveway to the north of the new gym is off limits to all traffic from this point forward and is reserved for our district route vehicles.
Please follow the map provided. Blue arrows represent the flow of traffic. The yellow box is the drop-off and pick-up zone. The red Xs mean to stay off of the driveway to the north of the new gym. That area is reserved for district route vehicles only.

Congrats to these kiddos for making an 80 or above on there Exact Path standards mastery! They were able to turn in a ticket and have their name drawn to win a small prize last Friday! Saydee is soaring in number lines with fractions and decimals, Konnor is rocking author's purpose , and Trinity did awesome with understanding text using context clues!
Dylan Lachner placed 3rd yesterday in Copy Editing and is advancing to Regionals, April 25-26!
