Welcoming back Carley Youngblood, District Principal.
It is an honor to be back home in Throckmorton, Texas. Since leaving Throckmorton nine years ago I have worked in a variety of roles that have allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. This includes teaching students in elementary, junior high, and high school in a small school setting where I was able to develop strong relationships to support community values. I also served seven years as a district counselor supporting students and families through their educational journey. Most recently I worked at Region 8 as a School Improvement Consultant. This allowed me to work alongside district and campus leaders to support strong leadership and promote effective teaching practices.
My husband Kyle and I have two wonderful children, McCarson and Catherine. I am truly grateful to be part of the Throckmorton community again and look forward to a great school year! Go Hounds!

Introducing Dickie Scott, High School Math & Head Girls Basketball Coach.
I bring over 26 years of experience as a dedicated math teacher and a passionate coach in track, cross country, and basketball. Raised on a ranch in New Mexico, I learned the values of hard work, resilience, and integrity early in life—principles I have carried into my teaching and coaching career.
Throughout the years, I have had the privilege of working with several highly successful coaches, which has helped shape my coaching style.
I am excited to join a talented new coaching staff and look forward to building strong relationships with my students and athletes, continuing my lifelong mission of helping young people grow in both skill and character.
I have been happily married to my lovely wife, Gail, for 40 years. Together, we have two daughters and are proud grandparents to three wonderful grandchildren.
