Earlier today, out of an abundance of caution, our campus briefly instituted a precautionary "Secure in Place" status following reports of a loud noise/possible disturbance near the school.
Local law enforcement promptly investigated the area and confirmed that the noise was caused by an electrical transformer blowing nearby. There was no threat to our campus at any time, and normal school operations have fully resumed.
The safety, security, and well-being of our students and staff are always our top priority. We appreciate local law enforcement for their swift response and our students, staff, and families for their cooperation and understanding.

Golf team Pom Pom fundraiser! There will be a table set up at the games tomorrow!
Pre-k loved their visit from Mrs. Hammond to discuss dental hygiene and hands on learning how to properly keep those teeth clean and cavity bugs away!
Mrs. Keeter's STEM classes had a fun challenge for the day which was to build a 36 in structure that had to be free standing and not leaning on anything.
The cross country meet scheduled for today in Eastland has been canceled due to weather conditions.

Staff Spotlight
We are excited to shine the spotlight on our Science teacher, Mr. Kyle Youngblood!
Teaching 4th–7th grade Science, Mr. Youngblood brings learning to life and encourages our students to stay curious, ask questions, and explore the world around them. From hands-on activities to discovering how things work, our students are gaining valuable knowledge and having fun along the way!
We are so thankful to have Mr. Youngblood as part of the Throckmorton ISD family and appreciate the time, energy, and passion he pours into our students each day!

3rd Grade had a guest speaker visit today! Local rancher, Tucker Brown, came and spoke to the students about the life of a rancher. Mrs. Ridgley's students have been selected for a Texas Tech research study on the use of the book Hank the Cowdog. The study requires them to have a guest speaker, who is a local rancher, to explain life on the ranch.
