Throckmorton FFA had an exciting and eventful week as students traveled close to 1,000 miles across Texas, competing in various Career Development Events (CDEs) against schools ranging from 1A to 6A. The dedication and hard work these students have shown throughout their journey is truly commendable. From Springtown to Angelo State University, each competition brought new challenges and learning experiences.
Cotton Judging Team
The Cotton team stood out with strong finishes across three contests:
Springtown Contest – 8th Place
Weatherford Contest – 6th Place
Angelo State Contest – 11th Place

Entomology Team
The Entomology team tackled insect identification with determination:
Springtown Contest – 9th Place

Plant ID Team
Competing at Angelo State, the Plant ID team showed strong potential:
Angelo State Contest – 11th Place

Meats Judging Team
The Meats team gained valuable experience at two prestigious contests:
Angelo State Contest – 42nd Place
Texas Tech Contest – 33rd Place
Team Members: Dylan Lachner, Brody Crisp, Brady Schroeder, Porter Redwine, Kaden Peacock
Horse Judging Team
The Horse team competed at both Weatherford and Angelo State contests, representing Throckmorton FFA with pride.
