What a year it has been for THS for sports! Once again the Greyhound football and basketball teams have made their traditional playoff appearances. The football team had a great season, finishing the season 8-3, losing only to 3 of the top tier teams in the state.
During football season some of our athletes take part in cross country. The girls’ team took district and had two girls make the regional meet. The boys had two run and each placed well at district.
The basketball season is in its prime as it is now playoff time for the Hounds and Lady Hounds. Both teams have had great success thus far, each winning district. They look to make strong playoff runs.
It’s almost spring and that means golf and tennis are just right around the corner! THS has had a proud tradition of producing champions in both sports. This year should be no different.
With the end of basketball will come the beginning of track season. It is no surprise that we have enjoyed a large amount of success in it as well.
With tradition comes great expectation. And this year had been no less than the best. The hard work and commitment of these young student-athletes has not gone unnoticed and has been rewarded with many accomplishments and much more to come!
